LOST DOG!!!! Brown, 55lb. male dog. 2-3 years old. cute face. Skittish near new people, but friendly. Is wearing a padded black collar with an extra metal clip on it and a red flea collar. He likes to explore, is a fast runner, and is very playful. He offers his paw whenever he sits. Last seen around 7:45am on October 29 in Edmonston (near Hyattsville, Bladensburg, Riverdale).
I took him in as a stray about a month ago and have gotten very attached! He opened the latch on my fence when I let him out this morning, and I haven't been able to find him. I really miss him and hope he's okay! If you see him, please let me know!!

Please Help Us Find A Lost Kitty Named Cosmo
Cosmo is a fairly new addition to the Adams family. He somehow escaped out the back door of his home last night, around the 2800 block of 63rd Ave (near Forest and the community center).
He's an older kitten that's about 5 months old. Cosmo has a short, black coat with big and pretty golden eyes. He's a former feral, but hasn't been outdoors in a few months. Because of this, his old instinct to hide will probably kick in. Fortunately, though he's still timid, he's a very friendly cat to those he trusts.
If you happen to see him or able to help find him, please contact Caitlin at 301 583-8716.

Heurich Park Dog Park in Hyattsville is Now Open
Thanks to a tip from our local community listserv, we now know that Prince Georges first official dog park, Heurich Dog Park is open to the public!
Located at the corner of Nicholson Street and Ager Road in Hyattsville, this park has a separate section for small dogs, bag dispensers and trash cans. Future plans include adding a shelter for shade in the large dog park, shade trees, and agility obstacles. Additionally, when the water line is brought in from Nicholson Street to serve the concession/restroom next to the future adjacent artificial turf field, a water fountain will be installed next to the dog park.
A dedication and activity fair is tentatively scheduled for November 7th. In the meantime, get your dog and check out the new park!
