Sadie Needs A Home

This is a courtesy post for somebody with friends in Cheverly:

We are moving to DC and can't bring our cat Sadie to the house we are renting. I have run out of rescue and shelter options, which I cannot bear anyway. Sadie is older but healthy. She is sweet but VERY skittish. She spends most of her day under the bed or in the closet, and joins us on the bed at night. She gets only hard food and just grazes, so you don't have to worry about a feeding schedule. She is as low-maintenance as an indoor cat can be. She is afraid of our 1-year-old but doesn't seem to mind older children anymore than she minds anyone else who knows not to chase her. Again, though, she is skittish and probably won't do a whole lot of ball-chasing or playing.

In a year or two, we will most likely have a house she can move back into, if you want this to be temporary. We are happy to provide you with initial supplies and a generous pet store credit.

Sadly, their original plans for her fell through at the last minute. They expressed that they may even consider paying all of her vet and food expenses if someone is willing to foster her long term, until their housing situation changes.

Who can resist this face?

If you're interested or know someone who is, please contact me via cheverlycarneys@gmail.com.

Please Help Us Find A Lost Kitty Named Cosmo

Cosmo is a fairly new addition to the Adams family. He somehow escaped out the back door of his home last night, around the 2800 block of 63rd Ave (near Forest and the community center).

He's an older kitten that's about 5 months old. Cosmo has a short, black coat with big and pretty golden eyes. He's a former feral, but hasn't been outdoors in a few months. Because of this, his old instinct to hide will probably kick in. Fortunately, though he's still timid, he's a very friendly cat to those he trusts.

If you happen to see him or able to help find him, please contact Caitlin at 301 583-8716.
